Escrow Policy

Last updated: 2026

Shahnaz Connect uses an escrow system to protect both clients and freelancers on every paid contract.

1. How escrow works

  1. The client funds the contract via Stripe.
  2. Funds are held in escrow — the freelancer sees the contract is funded but doesn't receive the money yet.
  3. The freelancer completes and submits the work.
  4. The client reviews and approves the delivery.
  5. Funds are released to the freelancer, minus the 10% platform fee.

2. Protection for clients

Money is only released when you approve the work. If the freelancer fails to deliver, you can request a refund or dispute the contract.

3. Protection for freelancers

You know funds are secured before starting work. Clients cannot claw back funds once you've delivered work that meets the agreed scope.

4. Payout methods

We use Stripe Connect for supported countries and manual payouts (bank transfer, bKash, Nagad) for regions Stripe does not serve.

5. Disputes

Our support team mediates disputes based on contract terms, communications, and deliverables. See our Refund Policy for details.
